Martine Muhongayire

Founder

Martine Muhongayire is a quality education enthusiast who has spent the last decade working with different institutions and schools to create inclusive and holistic education. Having been a teacher herself in her early twenties, she believes that quality education starts with teachers understanding whom they are serving and their needs. 

She has served as a board member and later school principal at Wellspring Academy, one of the leading international schools in Kigali, Rwanda. Previously, she worked as a project manager at the Ministry of Education and the Rwanda Environment Management Authority. She is an active board member at a school in the Easter province in Rwanda that focuses on helping under-resourced families have access to quality education. Martine believes that any community transformation is possible with continuously building the skills in teachers to consistently improve the learning process

She has an MBA from Maastricht School of Business and holds an undergraduate degree in education. 

Astrida Uwera

Media manager

Astrida Uwera is a professional journalist and media manager. She founded an online women’s magazine called Agasaro.com and has managed it since 2010.  She has experience in writing and editing articles, audio and video production directing, and research for media content. She has worked with both national and international organizations for media content production and media management.

Astrida believes holistic education is a necessity and she contributes to that in her work and in her personal life. She has the opportunity to learn quality education principles as an international school principal and a homeschooling mother.

She holds a master’s degree in media management and has done extensive training in media and business.
